Taylor Swift gets a leg up in slinky black Versace on VMAs 2023 red carpet

And by the way, she’s going out tonight.

Taylor Swift made a dramatic entrance on Tuesday night’s VMAs 2023 red carpet, dressed in a sultry black Versace halter gown.

Her look featured the house’s signature gold Medusa hardware, a slinky asymmetrical silhouette and a thigh-high slit, and the superstar accessorized with layers of chains, strappy black stilettos and her signature cat eye “sharp enough to kill a man.”

Swift leads this year’s VMA nominations with a total of eight nods; she’s up for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Editing (all for “Anti-Hero”), along with Artist of the Year.

Should she triumph in at least six of those categories, the 14-time Moon Person winner will unseat Madonna (who’s racked up 20 total trophies) as the second winningest artist of all time at the ceremony; Beyoncé, with 26 total solo wins, stands as the most awarded VMAs artist.

It’s been a very busy year for Swift. At last year’s Video Music Awards, she announced her 10th studio album, “Midnights,” while accepting her Video of the Year award for her 10-minute-long “All Too Well: The Short Film,” clad in a sparkling crystal-draped minidress by Oscar de la Renta.

Since then, she’s released that LP in addition to “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” — plus completed the first leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which resumes Nov. 9 in Latin America.

And October will see both the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version” and the theatrical debut of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” the big-screen adaptation of her blockbuster concert series.

How’s that for a victory lap?
